Oyama Zipline Adventure Park is proud to host Wounded Warriors Day, a family-friendly fundraising event in support of The Road To Valour and local veteran Garry McCracken, who will soon embark on a 2,500 km unsupported bicycle ride from Vancouver to Winnipeg in support of Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC).

Taking place on Saturday, May 31, this special event invites families to experience the thrill of ziplining and adventure park fun, all while supporting an important cause. Visitors can also enjoy a BBQ lunch, explore emergency vehicles, and meet veterans and members of the British Columbia Dragoons, alongside Lake Country Fire Department and BC Ambulance Services, who will be on-site with demonstrations and displays.

Event Highlights Include:

  • 15% off Zipline tours, the Adventure Park, and, for younger adventurers, the Monkey Park,
  • Free children's play area,
  • At the Furry Friend Toy Lodge, kids can build huggable friends,
  • Face painting for the younger guests (of all ages), by donation, by Silly in the Valley,
  • For the older visitors, enjoy a Valour Lager at the beer garden provided by the ladies at Three Lakes Brewing,
  • Or if a cold cider is more to your liking, visit Lake Country's newest cidery - Folktale Fine Cider.
  • BBQ lunch featuring hamburgers and hotdogs provided by Costco® and grilled by local first responders,
  • Starbucks® coffee available by donation in the morning,
  • Emergency service vehicle tours and demonstrations,

All proceeds from park activities on Wounded Warriors Day will be donated to The Road To Valour, Garry McCracken's long distance ride supporting WWC's mission to provide mental health support for Canadian veterans, active military personnel, and first responders suffering from Operational Stress Injuries (OSI), including PTSD. WWC also offers programs for the families of those affected, helping them navigate the challenges of living with OSI.
